Well known Author David Pogue drove down from his home in Connecticut to pay LIMac a visit for the General Meeting in November of 1998. LIMac treated him to a dinner at a nearby fine restaurant. David treated us to a demonstration of Apple's Mac OS 8.5 and Rick Johnston of Apple's Market Source also surprised us and came down with a bunch of freebies for our members in attendance. It was standing room only. Mr. Pogue has published:

The prolific writer has also done books on Classical Music, Opera and Magic and a best selling Novel Hard Drive. He now has a new book The iMac for Dummies. He currently writes a monthly column, the Desktop Critic, for MacWorld Magazine. As you can tell from his books and columns, David Pogue has a sharp wit. Notice the laugh from Bob McAteer and from Bill Medlow peeking in from the doorway. The November meeting was the most entertaining in memory. Please see the Next Photo for more about David Pogue's visit.
